About the Program

We have two kinds of summer/short course programs which include International Summer School/ ISS (offline) and Virtual Summer Courses/VSC (online). ISS is to give emerging students a sense of community through engaging learning activities. Students will stay in Malang for two to three weeks. This program will be presented in January of each year. Activities include engaging in cultural interaction, taking part in local tourism in East Java, Indonesia, and participating in interactive class sessions with relevant topics. By participating in this program, students will get in-depth information through discussions with other participants about current global challenges. Meanwhile, VSC offers international students the opportunity to empower themselves with a global perspective on their academic and practical experiences through Virtual Online Courses. This program is held every semester for specific courses, full online with twelve to thirty-hour meetings. They will be taught by lecturers who are skilled in the topics discussed and also get points of view from professional experts. By joining this program have a chance to discuss specific challenges from a global perspective with other foreign participants.

Admissions and Requirements

All programs have the same requirement process and prospective students must meet these requirements:

  1. Language requirement: All courses will be delivered in English. If English is not the first language, students are required to fulfill minimum language requirements with TOEFL ITP > 525 or IELTS > 5.5
  2. Required Application Documents: All documents are in English (or officially translated into English).

Living Cost

Why you should join this program

ISS is an annual event organized by FEB UB. This event seeks to advance global understanding of Indonesia from an economic, social, political and foreign policy perspective. Apart from that, ISS also aims to establish good relations between Universitas Brawijaya and Lincoln University. In this program, students are facilitated with a series of activities, class activities, cultural activities, visiting local tourism, company visits, and student conferences. This program also discusses MSMEs in Indonesia, especially Malang City. Students were also included in visits to local MSMEs such as Dinoyo Ceramics, Tempe Chips, and Batik Crafts. Students are also taught Indonesian so that they will at least be able to communicate in the language.

Facilities we provide for this program

In response to the rapidly changing digital era, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya (FEB UB), will hold Virtual Summer Course that will be held every semester for specific courses, full online with twelve to thirty hours meetings. Students will get intensive learning from professionals and practitioner, discussing current issues with global perspective, and also international exposure. We cordially open registration to all international students.

Student Housing

UB offers great student housing with excellent amenities, service, and affordable price.

Sport Club House

UB provides sport club house to facilitate students as well as staff to do some sport activities, such as: gym, basket ball and etc.

IDX Stock Market

IDX corner is served as place to learn about Indonesian stock market. IDX corner is equipped with recent IDX listed stock database, realtime access to Indonesian stock exchange and books and journals relating to stock market and accounting.

Self access center (SAC)

SAC is served as facility for student self learning activity to enhance profiency of English language, information technology as well as communication technique.

Library

UB Central Library is one of institutional support system that serves to support academic programs of the university as stated in Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi or the three roles of a university (education, research and community service). Some of the roles of the library in term of supporting educational process include providing information, coordinating and combining all forms of services to improve teaching-learning, research and public service. In the end, the goal is to achieve the process of improving the quality of graduates in term of developing insights and mastery of science. UB Central Library also provides electronic books (e-books), international journals of various, manuals, and so forth.
